Ours is just started & we have boxes & boxes of decorations...and we'll probably go buy more.

Wayne does the outside, hopefully with some granddaughter help. Our house looks like an airport landing field when he's done :>)

We have a fake tree with built-in lights. Hubby went and bought a gizmo that closes gaps or opens gaps or something. Anyway, a few clicks with his new toy and all the light circuits were finally working!

OK~back to decorating. Now the kids do all the decorating, usually on a day that Keith and I are both gone. It has not happened yet this year, I guess we should plan to leave for awhile on Sat.

Then there is the Christmas newsletter. Some of my kids have actually written it for several years and the others have helped with folding and mailing. I actually thought of a creative way to write it this year that I have to get them to execute. I came up with this when I couldn't sleep last night, a time when most of my creative ideas come about!Keith and Margarethttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05890254692446350440noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1471107802247799161.post-50906046800392618762010-12-01T10:14:56.304-05:002010-12-01T10:14:56.304-05:00Peace on earth to all who decorate!

I let her put up a miniature tree...but nothing else..
Yesterday we put lights up on the little entrance to the house. The lights hang so low that only a few privileged hobbits can pass through without fear of strangulation.
But at least it looks festive!Grace Dukenoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1471107802247799161.post-83798351078266146892010-12-01T08:31:16.962-05:002010-12-01T08:31:16.962-05:00We have a plastic tree, but it's so old it loo...We have a plastic tree, but it's so old it looks genuine. Years of worn tinsel droop from the tree, and age old ornaments are hung from the branches.

When we still had young children, we would always have to hang the breakable and valuable ornaments high on the tree so the toddlers and infants couldn't shake them off. It gave a very odd effect to see so many red glass noel all clumped at the top, and all the handmade cardboard crafts clumped at the bottom.Andrew McPhersonnoreply@blogger.com
